A good mouthpiece can greatly improve the performance of a student instrument, while for more advanced players, it’s a very personal choice, to suit the individuals concept of sound. Many players (like me) try dozens during their career , the lucky ones find something they like and stay with it. Happy to help with a choice to suit you, if I can.
For professional mouthpieces, a 7 day trial period is available, against payment. Postage is free if a purchase is made, customer pays both ways if piece is returned.

Phil Tone Novella Classic.
Made by Phil Engleman. I'm a big fan of his pieces, and this one is no exception. Based on the Selmer Soloist, it's a horseshoe chamber, a hand made and hand faced version of this classic piece, in a 6 tip opening. There is a jazz and classical version of this piece, this, as the name suggests is the classical, but these things are subjective. Many don't subscribe to the idea of 'jazz' or 'classical' mouthpieces, as its so subjective. This piece, with its warm, buttery sound, and ease of playing, would be ideal for a player working through grades, or in wind ensembles, but also sound great in a jazz quartet for those with a preference for the warmer side. Getasax GS markII Tenor 7*.
A nearly new, top condition item. Getasax make incredible copies of some of the most sought after pieces, that you would need to pay huge money for, if seeking an original. There is a load of information on their website. This is a copy of a Freddie Gregory super de luxe Mark II. not the darkest or the brightest of his models, this was the version favoured by Bob Mintzer for many years. It plays with more projection than a vintage Link, but opens up with a lot of power and "fullness" when its pushed. The tip is 7*, apparently Freddie's measurements were a little more open than usual, so it's .106
I doubt you'll find a better mouthpiece of this style for this price. Complete in it's tube, no cap or ligature

A fantastic remake of a 1980's Guardala MBII.
Anyone who knows the quality of Retro Revival pieces will appreciate they are all excellent. And any tenor player will know about MB style pieces, and what huge fun they are to play, so not much more to say, except that it's quite light use, and is of course in great nick, no issues whatsoever.

Saxscape "LIVE"
manufactured in the USA by Ken Barry, from Delrin, an FDA safety improved polymer which is extremely tough, and will not warp or change over time. A fun mouthpiece to play, with a fairly high baffle, and manages to bridge the gap, in terms of brightness, between a Link and a Guardala. It has a slim profile, so would need a small Rovner, or similar ligature.

Corry Bros. Caldera
New, Made in the UK by the Corry Brothers, the Caldera is the brightest in their range. Certainly not overly bright though, very versatile. A Hard Rubber piece, beautifully made in an 8 tip. A thick core sound with projection, created by straight side walls, with a round throat leading into a medium chamber. Supplied in wood box, and velvet pouch.
